This game ended abruptly since cbower has had to leave the community to spend more time with family, so the rankings are based on relative army strengths at the end of the game. Cbower and I (mauvebutterfly) were significantly ahead of the other players at this time, and it was really just a battle between the two of us at the end.

This game was organised by Kwibus using a special "no mind control" rule set. We could only choose to play as warlords, dreadnoughts, and sorcerers, and there were no heroes aside from the leaders. This made the game a lot more production-focused, since you had to produce or summon your army instead of converting or raising the neutral stacks to join your forces. I would have liked to see how a sorcerer would have done in this rule set, but it was still an interesting game mode, and I'd highly recommend doing it again.

You just killed my strong leader stack a turn before it and at that point I knew from now on I would only be able to defend. 

I should learn to keep on fighting and not lose morale so fast. I still had 2 decent stacks near my capital as well. 5 stacks fighting behind city walls vs your stacks might actually give a different result, but instead of trying to stay alive (Considering I had 4 stacks in the UG moving toward you) I gave up, only because you killed my leader with his T4's with gold medals because I didn't scout.
I lost morale, because I knew that if I had played it right I could have smashed 6 stacks into your 3 stacks and this time also with 2 strong stacks instead of no-medal stacks.

Another game I also gave up way too quickly after an big mistake I made, while in another game I dealt such a blow to my opponent. Instead of him throwing the towel his rogue stacks are making my life miserable. Allthough I almost got him now it was a hard fought war were I lost a lot and this ofcourse will give me problems facing my next war. Atleast I should have the courtesy to do that as well toward the other players playing. 

It's also a lack of experience in a game like this online. I lack inventivity and ideas about what to do.

I found one of the screens from the deciding turns during the brief war between Kwibus and I. This was probably just after his leader walked into my (not so planned) trap, when he aimed for an all out attack as I was in reach of his capitol.

With my poor showing in this match, I have recognized that my aggressive rush and making every city vassal all over the map tactics do not do well in free for all games. After my rush of Markymark failed, Eskild and Kwibus picked off many of my vassal towns. Their archdruid armies had fully evolved animals, many of which were champions. I made a grave error when I accidentally had my dragon vassal join me. It was a misclick and I had no way to defend the town, which was pretty close to Eskild's capitol. 

Eskild defeated me with ease. I felt as though he was the best player this game and deserved to win.

Deserved winner. I fought him after he beat rrrroookkiee. Not directly, but he fought a war while I was just building.
Despite that he still beat me. I had the forces, but lacked the strategy/tactics.

Thanks for a really fun game - of course it´s most fun to win and as I´m currently losing a lot, this one is warming a bit. To the report (prepare for a wall of text...):

Anyhow, I wanted to try out the elven archdruid once again. Actually my game wen´t bad in the beginning, lost my leader at least twice, but kept my secondary theocrat hero alive. First player I met was Firak (Marky´s necromancer) and got offered an informal non-aggresion pact that I happily agreed to as he seemed far from me and in the underground, which we don´t like - being elves. More or less the same thing happened when I met Kwibus, which was an encounter, waving to each other, across a stream of rabbles that was below my capitol and blocked the way to his lands.

This led my focus on Rrrrookie undisturbed. He was doing pretty good at the time, had taken the dragon dwelling, which was really close to my lands, and as I had spotted some nice stacks of his with shadow stalkers and some charmed units I had to be very wary and assemble my troops the right way before attacking him in order not be ambushed. This happened some turns later, where I found his strong stacks and had the advantage of a fire shrine, which made many of my units able to get at the shadow stalkers and beat his main force. I tried moving quickly from there and could strike at him from two UG entrances, one in the east and one south of the dragon dwelling not many turns later.

The turning point of the game came 5-10 turns later during the cold war between the remaining 3 players, where Kwibus initiated the assault by breaking peace in a slightly unfair battle (including two horned gods) where my rogue hero and many good units were killed as they were preparing for a random clearing of a sphinx temple that I was too greedy just to give him the rewards from. As I reckoned his troops to be stronger than mine, I had to launch an all out attack in order not be overwhelmed.

As my shaman production had started, and as I had some of these and hunters defending my two main cities, I was able to make a quick strike across the water on his eternal city (guarded by 10 mystics) some turns later as the band of shamans and hunters could join forces with my secondary AD hero and her companions emerging from the UG.

As Kwibus wrote he, at that time, was marching for the former lands of rrrookie in the underground, and as I had several high mobility troops on the surface arctic region in the SE part of the map, which were clearing the last epic and legendary sites, I decided to go ashore from east to west with many good troops including my leader and the theocrat (which was of course flying a mount at that time) and red dragons, which was ready at kind of the right moment.

At the same time I had scorched earth researched and could cast in on this eternal city and the attention I drew from the east led Kwibus to move his leader into a not thoroughly planned ambush there, while a warlord of his wen´t up with the remainder of the capital defense to take the eternal city back, and discovered the mean spell, which he couldn´t or merely failed to disjunct.

The rest corresponds to what Marky reported. I was granted the win, but wanted to play the game through. We had some large battles, where horned gods, a converted/charmed chtonic guarding and king shock serpent made the difference together with the units I could pull off of Kwibus former empire.

Eskild has beaten me. his Dragons was stronger than my t4 undead Units. He has won without Problems the endbattles.

First rrrokie tried to beat me with a first rush, but i have see him and was prepared. After his attacked to me failed, eskild has beaten him.

I had a non-Aggression to eskild and kwibus and decided to give the win of the winner.
But eskild wanted some end battles, so i have attacked him.

And it was clear, i had less chances more.

it's a walkover win for ehall20 who went Necro and had Centurion on turn 20. Game was won on turn 1 by ehall20 I guess

Interesting strategy, bard have nice synergy with the luck mechanics. I would still go for one bard per stack and ad several scoundrels, for they lvl super fast to elements. Meatshilds must be charmed, would be nice if one unit of the halflings could get some little hp buff, like nightwatch.

Ah yes. 
Well I chose Halfling Rogue because I wanted to try an halfling Bard strategy, but it didn't really get that far since I was slllllooooowwwww.

Why a Halfling Bard and not another race? Well because it has slingshot instead of 1 shot. And I wanted bards.. lots of them to see how they would do when massed. I can see them charming a whole lot. So when the fight starts they are on paper weaker, but if a few of them succeed their charm that would totally destroy the enemy army.

Ofcourse this was just a thought and not one very well thought through or tested. Which I had this game for, but it didn't come that far.

It's a bit hard for me to seriously give you input, because to be honest I didn't really put in my best effort. I'm not proud of this, most of all toward my opponent it was a bit respectless.

I had a poor early game fight losing my most important unit and my 2nd hero. Together with my allready diminishing motivation for 1vs1 games I auto-battled all my fights. 

So I can't really say anything useful about it. My apologies for this behaviour toward the organisers and my opponent.

Due to a early lucky strike at Kwibus army and his misfortune start, I could take his throne. The rest of his troops soon was swept away by cold heartless machines that were built to seek and destroy.

p.s. oh! - i got it, fixed now

when i initially reported the game i wrote a long story of how it went but then i got lost in the battle with the site's UI );

in short: i scouted aggressively and when i found Skuns i got an alliance with RockBottom's Dwarf Warlord and managed to 'enclose' him or at least hinder his scouting by leaving units at choke points (which payed off later i think). Skuns was already ghouling the map and also had super large towns and i lured him in a part of the map where there were no units to kill. I used my superior scouting to attack his towns while he is away and managed to dance around my own towns for a time enough for my heroes/armies to come back before he had everything. He showed me a trick that i didn't consider (a town/fortress next to my 3 armies can be used by the enemy to attack only 2 armies) but the RBGesus was rolling for me and i won the battle.

I Haven't met Kwibus and i was worried a lot and i immediately positioned my armies to attack 2-3 towns of RockBottom's empire in a blitz. I managed the blitz but i lost a nice up-coming lvl5-6 Theo and his army. RockBottom got his army together and danced a bit around his capitol while Kwibus (finally appeared) tried to sneak some armies to help him and i got paranoid. I managed to wait for the right turn to finish off RockBottom and not be exposed to contra-attack by Kwibus and after i managed that we started a good and long partisan war with Kwibus.

It become obvious i was just in time to get Kwibus' attention to save BlackCat from being removed. I kept getting new units and attacking off-sites and resource making sites while keeping my presence at our border. My techs for movement gave me 42 mp druid/hunter stacks and i started upgrading a Dragons Dwelling. After a while i started luring Kwibus to hit some units and that triggered a response that leaved his border town attack-able (; Kwibus tried to move his units away from that town but i reached him and again the auto-battle was mine with minimal to no losses (lucky).

BlackCat send me an alliance proposal the turn after Kwibu's defeat and that was it - i wanted to go 100 units but i only got 70-80 at the end.

Everyone was fast with the turns and it was a nice game - hope we meet each-other again and thanks for the game (;

Xlnt came at me rather fast and my leader/stacks were a 2-3 turns away from reaching my city he captures, but I had quite solid stacks. While xlnt had 2 to knights evolved cavalry I allready had quite a few gold medals and 3 faeries joined my side. I managed to kick him out of my city (not my capital as xlnt thinks. He never touched my capital  ) I had severe losses, but 1 hero, 3 faeries and 2 gold medal Draconian elders survived. After that I had my cap producing a bunch of elders and my 2nd city made some crusaders.

My leader/hero stacks started clearing some treasure sites again when xlnt returned again. Again very fast, but when I saw his 2 stacks I wasn't afraid. I knew that I was stronger so why the hell did he attack? Why attack when he has to walk his way to me while I keep out pumping units. Well not my problem. He didn't find my stacks until it was too late for him. I killed his leader and his units and he surrendered.

Kwibus somehow managed to attack my forces at his captured capitol and won the autobattle vs what i considered (my) better forces. I could have moved 3 stacks and not 2, but he managed to 'hide' how much army he had and that was lessons n1 and n2. I managed to recover and captured his fancy fay dwelling and moved on to attack the capitol again - just in time for lesson n3. His much bigger army was possitioned just a turn away from the capitol and the turn after i took it - i got hacked by a much bigger and better army. I suicide attacked the next and last turn with my last stack and surrendered.

Another good match with Eskild. Smooth game with a solid pace. 

There was no 2nd big battle indeed, most of all since I didn't have much left and my scouts found some nice stacks from Eskild so the option was to either sit in my capital and delay my loss or surrender and make time for a new game

Another nice game against, Kwibus, with one major battle in which both our leaders were sent to the void, while my secondary rogue hero survived and managed to sneak out of the action. We didn´t get to a second final battle before the surrender.
