We've got the opinion of 2 of the 3 judges, still waiting for the 3rd one but as 2 agrees, we can take a decision: so you can continue, even though in theory Lightform has lost.

Mmh... it's ok not to rehost the game if gab is ok with the settings but come on, it takes at most 5 minutes to re-host, especially since the settings are saved (except if you hosted another game since but I doubt it).

Regarding your loss... well, in theory, you have lost! Same as above, if gab is ok, why not restart your turn (actually your game more or less). I ask to the other judges what they think.

Hmmm, well for me do what you want no problem, let me know and have fun

Well.. two points. First, I can't be bothered going through all that process again just to change undiggable walls. If you don't like it, then I'm out. Secondly, and quite arbitrarily, I just took my turn before I read the comments here and died. My leader got killed by an engineer with a mortar round that I didn't realise he could fire while engaged with another of my units. This happened before I had my city up so poof. If you want to call that game then that's fine with me, otherwise I will replay my turn.

Undiggable wall needs to be at the same (low) level as Diggable wall.

+ don't forget to send your class / race (gab, you can change yours if needed, send a PM before the beginning of the match).

Good luck guys! Take videos if you can!

Hi gab, did you contact Lightform? This match needs to start quickly.

Hi! Lightform, we haven't received your class / race.
It's you the host.

I know what you think about the issue with Necro but the tournament is over soon, so better to go until the end. + in next rounds, we may be able to use the mod, when everyone who was against it got eliminated

Ok I just discussed with Lightform and we agreed to replay the match. I'll be hosting it soon. I already sent my class / race to the judges, Lightform will send his soon.

Sorry gab but that's the judges' decision (Markymark and Fistandantilus's) to replay and you have to respect it. It just delays a bit your next match, be patient!

The rematch - Option was a decision from the judges, not the decision from Hilidian.
But maybe Hilidian cancel this option and will give you the win for the rematch.
Everyone can report his games, losers like winners. There is no special rule for it, but often the winners has the screen and the saves.

Hello Lightform, you win the game i think i must play with you

Published on Thu, 01 Jan 1970 01:00:00 +0100

Hiliadan , I appreciate the effort that you guys put in to maintain this site, and there isn't really anyone else doing it, but as I've said before I find it awkward to the point of frustrating.

I'm pretty close to pulling out of the tournaments on here, not because I'm not interested in playing in them, but because following the process of setting up games, playing them, and then reporting them is so much of a drag.

If setting the games up wasn't bad enough as it is with all the screen shots etc, I had to set the game in question up twice because I forgot to switch teams on the first time. Now you want to replay the game due to a race technicality... even though I reported it before the game, and even though we played the whole game out. This seems quite fastidious.

Then to top that, you mention that I will get a formal warning... as if I was aware that I had made that mistake and was somehow exploiting it ?

With regards to actually playing our game, I'd be quite happy to play another because I really don't care what it means in the tournament. I think there are enough imbalances currently that the outcome of the tournament is pretty inconclusive. Not to mention that a single game is exceedingly open to RMG bias.

But as Gab has just pointed out, he will be waiting for another 2 - 3 weeks minimum for our next game to conclude, so maybe I should just pull out and let you play vs Gab ?

Also.. I wonder if another format like the one that Mental was going to use where the players report their own losses, as opposed to this set up where the winners do might work better ?

Replay Round 2 this is none sense and just lost of time, for me no problem to play with lightform! You let him play the same race no body say some thing that is me how see the mistake when i look the combo he play for chose my combo...

We discovered that Lightform had played twice the same race in round 2 and 3 (Elf)... It happened because unlike for other players, the judge usually checking the absence of repetition of race / class was playing against Lightform and thus did not have access to his class / race. However, this does not justify choosing the same race, which is prohibited by rule 5.
Rule 5:
"You cannot play the same class, or race twice in a row. You must let the Judges by private message in the Battlefield website BEFORE the match, but not your opponent, know what class and race you will play for your upcoming match. For example, if you play Human Theocrat, for your next match, you cannot be either Human or Theocrat."
As a consequence, Fistandantilus and Markymark judged that the best solution was: 1/ to give a formal warning to Lightform and 2/ to replay round 3 match Lightform vs Hiliadan.

So Lightform, please send your new class / race to Markymark and Fistandantilus (your previous combo to consider is round 2's). Not sure who should host, you were the host in previous game, maybe I should host, to be confirmed by Markymark and Fistandantilus.

Round 5 game is suspended for now, pending new results from Hiliadan vs Lightform.

Hi Lightform and gabthegab, remember you've got 2 months to play your game! Please start it as soon as possible! You need to send your class / race and the host needs to post the settings somehow.
