So they came. The Halfling Warlord and his forces and were victorious.

This dragged out quite a while, although the quite interesting game. When I realized I was fighting a Goblin on the surface with blighted terrain I decided to lay low for a while so I could have my heroes to level up quite much before I proceeded into hated terrain.

I was quite harassing Lord Darius with my scouts by casting Dread Siege and Rally the populace netting a -1000 morale damage to a city. They even start rebelling those Goblins. However, that might been keeping my opponent occupied for awhile.

Turns later around 45 I became even m stronger when I took out an Archon Dwelling and started to field my forces with Wraiths and Archon Casters. I was probably quite ahead already after when all those high-level sites started to be cleared. But still.

Judging from the screenshots it was quite equal up to turn 20 in the score. But as soon as I'm left alone with Halflings they became quite unstoppable.

I was a little surprised when a hero came from nowhere wanted to pick a fight with my heroes. Did not go well as he was not backed up by anything.

Then the first real battle came. Again it's a lot of tier I and tier II units nothing too scary

Again well, I had bot control of Heart of Volcano and also Heart of Blight making my Halflings like my most hated terrain. My tropical empire spreading was little to slow to advance. So with control of two hearts, I essentially secured a good terrain penalty in Lord Darius territory.

A general note you have lots of defenders in your cities, forts and watchtowers. The side effect of guarding too many key locations is that the use of this unit's upkeep gets little wasted. Normally 1-2 irregulars may serve well for cities and forts. But watchtowers are not the primary threat. Goblins may be quite squishy units, but on other hand, your Phalanx is one of the best in-game with life steal in my opinion.

So keep your stacks together and also this late-game wandering off with 1 stack or 2 stacks can be dangerous as I keep mine quite packed or nearby with 3-4 stacks all the time.
