Posts to the game:

This was my second live MP duel with a victory in the end. When I first gained knowledge of the race/class choice of Quoshka, I thought that the duel would be very hard, luckily he didn´t attack me immediately at that time when my troops and armies were scattered heavily over the map creeping for gold and knowledge. This game (and my practice games) using the goblin necromancer being available by default I also had the "Whispers of the fallen" spell from the start and knew it would be important to use it. This is very important for gaining the breaking research points in order to get cheap spells immediately instead of wasting research on those. I think that both Quoshka and I turtled a bit or maybe a lot. I´m still trying to get used to the `building as many cities as fast as you can´ thing with live MP games and I ended up with only 5 cities, with the last one being built right on the turn of the final battle (turn 36/37). At around turn 15-18, I realized Quoshka had a vassal close to my territory, but at that point I was off to gain a dragon vassal taking "Omen of the Dove" as the sign that I could actually beat the archon gang at that dwelling with my forces. However, neither this, nor clearing a bone yard and a tomb earlier on granted me anything from control undead or reanimating. Few turns later my opponent had cleared the inn and taking the seal, while Dolores was fumbling through the underground for a surprise attack on the heart of my opponents land. The game never came to this however. I took a faulty decision and charged on the seal with a newly created warlord (had the harbinger tech at that time, but no reanimators in the stack) some butchers and an untouchable, only to realize that Quoshka had sufficient flying and fast troops to actually ambush the petty warlord and his evil butchers - a fight in which I surrendered as soon as I could see that he would walk away with no losses. From that point Quoshka started charging on my lands, but did too little scouting so that after conquering my first built city he had only a handful of troops guarding the city, which was easy to pick off with none (besides a beholder) holding ranged damage. However I did use my necro hero´s casting points and forgot to upgrade him before the next turn when the final battle held off. That one was fairly equal, I think. At the beginning I was sure I would lose it, and at some point, when the main force (which had traversed my walls) approached my troops, I actually thought about sending all my troops off the fortifications to the far side of the battlefield beyond the walls. However, in the end the raised cadavers from two chargers which went in alone together with a wisp in one side of the castle served as meat shield to start an offense, where reanimators, untouchables and triple life steal butchers proved their worth. The star blades enforced draconian flyer was flanked off after my banshee had initiated where the cadavers left off. I was a bit disappointed however with the reanimating thing, where it didn´t automatically choose the higher tier unit at where the banshee died off. The flyer ended up not getting many hits in due to stiffen limbs cast by my leader from below the ground. One (maybe the only really) hilarious issue with that battle was probably the fight going on beyond my walls as a life stealing lost soul managed to (nearly?) kill off a poor limb-stiffened eagle rider. Maybe my opponent has some other version of this? Or corrections. I posted some screenshots in the report file by the way. Thanks for a(nother) good game.

Nice report!
How did you get screenshots from Markymark's point of view? By reloading the save on his side? And score from turn 26? Surrendered on an old save?

Bestätigt durch MARKYMARK
At first, i have played passive, not tried to attacked him. But only i got first seal, he has starting attacking.
I was stronger and have registered -> his cities are without defense. Then i make my failure, had splitted stacks ? Why?

Why not easy get Cities with scouts and Play further defensive? Was my plan.

Then i thought, when i beat him now, the battle is over!
Fast win, will be nice. But it was not a good idea, because i was weaker about my split failure.
In fight i maked the next split failure, so i lost, maybe my Chance was better for win this.

Then i was frustrated and give up, but i think eskild was after the battle stronger than me, but maybe not really decided,
GG Hope for a next gg with you

Good game.

When I first gained knowledge of the race/class choice of Quoshka, I thought that the duel would be very hard, luckily he didn´t attack me immediately at that time when my troops and armies were scattered heavily over the map creeping for gold and knowledge. This game (and my practice games) using the goblin necromancer being available by default I also had the "Whispers of the fallen" spell from the start and casted that one straigth away, ignoring mana costs. This gained me many breaking research points in order to get cheap spells immediately or merely faster, instead of wasting research on those.

I think that both Quoshka and I turtled a bit - maybe a lot. I´m still trying to get used to the `building as many cities as fast as you can´ thing with live MP games, while still being aggresive, and I ended up with 5 cities, the last being built right on the bat of the final battle (turn 36/37).

Few turns later my opponent had cleared the inn and taking the seal (close to my migrated putative goblin vassal), while Dolores (my leader) was fumbling through the underground for a surprise attack on the heart of my opponents land.

Comments on Hiliadans questions:

Yes to both; had an old save, probably due to the need of a break at turn 26, so could surrender at that point by hosting the game on VPN with just me versus a PC.

Had to reload as Quoshka (Mark) to get a screenshot of the result of the final battle, might be able to do the same to get it from my point of view, but couldn´t find that one.
