I would like to improve, and there is plenty of space for that. However I don't aim for, neither do I think it is a realistic expectation from myself, to rise to the level of competitive players. I know my limits.  That said I have been starting with settler, weak army, and against strong defenders from the get go. I would be lying if I said the startings are smooth rides for me though.

@Novograd this is only needed if he/she wants to becoem better and play with more skilled players, I guess. But it naturally never hurts to improve.

Indeed it's just too easy to win AI emperor.
I guess first step for multi play is getting used to tournaments set up.
with weak starting army, each fight quite hard.
So first should know how to fight.
And then you can think about learning strategic movement for middle game.

Hi! I am looking for anyone to play with who doesn't mind that I am a beginner. I don't have any of the DLCs yet. My playtime greatly varies as I work in shifts and all day of the week but I can generally be online at least 4 hours a day.

I am also very interested in live MP.

I'm searching for a competitive 1vs1 game.
As I see 1 game here progressing so slow, so that I think I can do several games via PBEM in same time.
If you are ok, I have enough time for live multiplay too.

I don't have DLC's so if you don't have we have to play without DLC's.
tournament setting is ok for me.
